Listening to a Discussion tests whether you can keep three people separate, follow how they respond to one another, and identify the proposal or reason that belongs to each speaker.

Use the stable left, centre, and right labels to keep each name attached to the correct voice and viewpoint.

Note whether a speaker proposes, objects, adjusts, or agrees. The relationship between turns is often the tested detail.

Read the full sentence with each option, then keep only the choice that matches both the named speaker and the recorded discussion.

A practical Listening Part 5 method

Speaker. Proposal. Objection. Decision.

  1. Map the three names.Write Maya, Colin, and Zoe in separate columns and add only short keywords as each person introduces or challenges an idea.
  2. Mark who owns the idea.When another speaker accepts or modifies a suggestion, keep the original proposal with the person who first made it.
  3. Return to the named speaker.Use the name in the completion as your final filter. A true detail from someone else's turn is still the wrong answer.
