Build a claim-reason-limit map while the viewpoint plays.

Listening to Viewpoints tests whether you can follow a prepared, concept-heavy presentation, identify the speaker's position, and separate supporting reasons from qualifications and opposing ideas.

1

State the position

Write one short line for what Daniel wants the city to do. Keep that line separate from examples and background facts.

2

Group the reasons

Sort the benefits, safety concerns, and pilot evidence into separate note groups instead of recording every sentence.

3

Keep the qualification

Daniel supports repair cafés with conditions. An answer that drops either the support or the limits changes his position.

Issue. Position. Reasons. Limits.

  1. Name the issue and position. Before adding details, write the policy question and Daniel's answer to it in one line.
  2. Mark the turns.Words such as supporters, however, critics, and if signal when the presentation moves from a reason to a limit or counterpoint.
  3. Reject the distortion. For a main-position completion, remove choices that turn a trial into a permanent launch or turn qualified support into no limits.
